TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade — What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.

What You Trade On

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.

Execution Speed

The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
